While all eyes are set on reducing carbon emissions to achieve our climate goals, carbon is also becoming an increasingly important ingredient to the solution: as feedstock for Power-to-X fuels and materials. Without sustainable carbon sources, the transition to a greener future independent of coal, oil, and natural gas will not be possible. Renewable energy sources are abundant, but is there enough non-fossil carbon to meet future demand?
To get into the details and find out where different countries currently stand, we invite you to join our upcoming official Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue (BETD) side event on "Carbon Sourcing for Power-to-X: How can we meet the demand for sustainable value chains?" on 18 March in Berlin and online. We will discuss the different options for carbon sourcing, the pros and cons of each option, current legal and regulatory frameworks at European level for carbon sourcing, the availability of carbon in different countries, the implications for fuel certification, and many more crucial topics to pave the way for truly sustainable Power-to-X value chains.
We want to tackle these important issues jointly with you and look forward to seeing you there.
